Diane Rasmussen Taylor is a Danish-American poet, writer, artist and designer.  She was formally trained in fashion at Nettleton College in South Dakota, where she was named "Fashion Career Girl of the Year" of her graduating class, and has worked in the fashion industry on both coasts.  She has worked professionally in business management for over 20 years.  She launched her design company, Blue Poodle, in 2008 after many years as a vintage toyseller.  Her design style is classic with clean lines and a simple palate and is inspired by her favorite designers, Vera Wang and Jimmy Choo. 

As a writer, her poetry and essays have been widely awarded and published by well-known publishers such as Blue Mountain Arts Press and the Iowa Poetry Association.  She received the prestigious "Outstanding Spokesperson For Freedom" award by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and has worked to cultivate the art of creative expression through her roles as teacher, manager, consultant, editor, publisher and web designer.  A primary focus of her life's work includes an emphasis on inspiring women to find their voice and empowering other working women, especially the disadvantaged and single mothers.

Born and raised in Iowa, she currently resides in Virginia.  Her favorite quote she lives by:  "Believe."
